LOCAL EMPLOYMENT AND THE POWER
OF OUR NEW BUSINESS PARK
The Washington, DC metro region is one of the strongest employment and real estate investment markets in the country, and the recent and/or planned relocations of several federal government agencies to the Laurel/Beltsville area make Brick Yard Station a perfect address for virtually any worker.
Several thousand public and private sector jobs are located within walking distance to Brick Yard Station, and the ICC will dramatically improve access to an additional 150,000 jobs in the I-270 Corridor.
Within the next few years, employment growth in the area will be even further accelerated when thousands of jobs relocate to nearby Fort Meade with the Department of Defense’s Base Realignment and Closure initiative (BRAC). Military personnel, civilian workers and government contractors will bring their careers – and their tax revenues and disposable income – to the Laurel/Beltsville area. A new Brick Yard Station home would offer them a short commute, against traffic, to and from Fort Meade.
Major employers within a 10-15 minute drive of Brick Yard Station include:
• ATF Beltsville Campus
• USDA
• Fort Meade (U.S. Army)
• NSA Headquarters
• FDA White Oak Campus
• NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center
• University of Maryland at College Park
• M Square Research Campus ^ to top |
